"Arsène Lupin vs. Herlock Sholmes" (1908) is a story in two episodes that describes the confrontation between the "gentleman-burglar" Arsène Lupin and the great detective Herlock Sholmes (the first letters are not mixed up!). These two extraordinary characters clashed in the first book of the series about the adventures of Arsène Lupin. Of course, Sholmes did not forgive his rival for the defeat. Therefore, at the first request of the well-known Frenchmen to help them in the search for the burglar and swindler Lupin, he and his assistant Wilson cross the English Channel. The British give themselves a maximum of ten days to investigate the case. In contrast, Lupin has a different view on this and from the very first steps makes it clear who is the master in the house. Will the most famous private detective manage to handle such a tough nut?
